Schneider Electric Announces Formation of Sensor Competency Center in Dayton, OH

(DAYTON, Ohio, June 2, 2005) - Schneider Electric, a global leader in electrical distribution, industrial control and automation products, systems and services, announces the formation of the Schneider Electric Sensor Competency Center in Dayton, Ohio. Opened on May 1, the SCC was formed by bringing together the industry leading design, engineering and application expertise of Schneider Electric’s Hyde Park and Telemecanique sensor lines. The new center will serve as a single, integrated resource in the U.S. for technical and application support for the sensor industry.

With a staff of more than 60 knowledgeable and experienced team members, the SCC will provide a central resource for all types and models of Hyde Park and Telemecanique sensors, including inductive, capacitive, photoelectric and ultrasonic. The SCC will offer expertise in sensor-related matters such as:
• Applications
• Product support and selection
• Sales and service
• Installation and set-up
• Product modification
• Marketing and promotions
• Global design for ultrasonic sensors
• Sensor manufacturing center
